More than 80,000 people have been affected by the combined effects of Tropical Cyclones Luis and Maymay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said Thursday. The OCD has not recorded any deaths, injuries, or missing persons in connection with the weather disturbances as of the latest report. A total of 12 houses were reported damaged, all of which sustained partial damage. The OCD also reported 83 flooded areas in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM. Meanwhile, the government has provided P1.38 million worth of assistance to affected residents.
