Eleven Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended for violating double-entry visas and overstaying in India, Delhi Police said on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Rohit Rajbir Singh said the 11 individuals were identified during a special drive to identify foreign nationals overstaying or breaching visa norms. “During patrolling in Paharganj, we received information about Bangladeshi nationals staying in Delhi despite the expiry of their visas,” said the officer. Based on his disclosure, the police raided a flat in Hauz Rani in Malviya Nagar from where the remaining were apprehended. He added, “The Foreigners Regional Registration Office has issued Restriction Orders, and all 11 have been shifted to the Sewa Dham detention centre in Sarai Rohilla pending deportation proceedings.
