Goa, August 5: A small military revolution broke out here on Sunday but it was short-lived. Three garrison Commanding Officers waited on the Acting Governor, Commander Moraes on Sunday the 1st August and demanded the suspension of the New Officers Pay Act. Commander Moraes referred the matter to the Lisbon Government simultaneously requesting his dismissal from the Governor’s charge, if the suspension was granted. Before Lisbon had answered, the Officers intimated Commander Moraes on Monday that he must withdraw from the Government. Commander Moraes resumed his duty last evening and dismissed the three officers.
