Beyond Frontiers Trust (BFT), a non-profit organisation, was formally launched on Wednesday with the aim of improving access to specialist healthcare for tribal and underserved rural communities in Tamil Nadu.
Founded by senior physician S.C. Chandilya, the Trust has been working in Jawadhu Hills, where geographical barriers and limited transport infrastructure often restrict access to specialised medical care.
According to the organisation, it has conducted 18 free specialist medical camps, reaching around 4,000 people across 150 villages.
Addressing the launch event, Dr. Chandilya said the Trust seeks to provide specialist diagnosis and treatment to underserved tribal and rural populations.
The Trust focuses on screening and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, polyarthritis, and asthma.
