The Andhra Pradesh government has released draft regulations for all private hospitals, diagnostic centres and clinics offering AYUSH services in the State. As part of this move, registrations will be made mandatory for every private AYUSH facility, including Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Yoga & Naturopathy clinics. According to a release issued by the Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare, the draft regulations were prepared after amending the Andhra Pradesh Private Medical Care Establishments Act, 2002, which previously applied only to private allopathic medical establishments. A gazette notification was issued on April 10, bringing AYUSH medical systems under the ambit of this Act (Act No. To implement this, draft regulations titled ‘Andhra Pradesh AYUSH Private Medical Care Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Rules-2026’ have been prepared after studying similar regulations in force in neighbouring States.
