Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman has stated that Bangladesh has emerged from the stage of being a ‘dependent state’ or ‘client state’ through the July Mass Uprising. He added that the core philosophy of the government’s foreign policy is ‘Bangladesh First,’ and the country will never again be allowed to become a dependent state in the future. The Foreign Minister said, “We do not want to see Bangladesh as a client state in any way. He mentioned that the Turkish Foreign Minister recently told him that Bangladesh was once fading from the international arena, but now the country is returning to the global stage. The Foreign Minister also mentioned three major challenges faced during the interim government’s tenure.
