The toll in rain-related incidents in Kerala has risen to 25 in the past six days, The Hindu reported on Wednesday.
The rest of the state is likely to receive above-normal rainfall, except Thiruvananthapuram and parts of Kollam.
An ex-gratia payment of Rs 8 lakh will be made to the families of those who died, Chief Minister VD Satheesan on Monday.
Compensation of Rs 12 lakh will be given to those who lost their homes and land due to landslides.
Persons returning home from relief camps would receive Rs 10,000 as an immediate measure.
