Participating in the weekly face-to-face programme at Gandhi Bhavan, the Minister received petitions from people and assured them that each representation would be examined carefully. Officials were asked to prepare clear action plans and ensure effective implementation of solutions. Among the grievances raised were complaints of alleged land encroachments and changes in pattadar passbooks due to irregularities in the implementation of the previous Dharani system. Eligible families who had not received houses during the previous government’s tenure sought sanction of Indiramma houses, while several youth appealed for an increase in the upper age limit for police recruitment. Petitions were also submitted seeking withdrawal of police cases allegedly registered during the previous regime.
