Photo: Reuters/ FileThe Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) posted a strong gain on Wednesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index reclaiming the 180,000-point level amid broad-based buying supported by positive global cues and renewed optimism over Pakistan's external financing outlook. The KSE-100 index settled at 180,014.93, gaining 2,931.71 points, or 1.66%, from the previous close of 177,083.22. Cumulatively, trading volume increased to 740.5 million shares against 711.2 million recorded on Tuesday. The value of traded shares stood at Rs35.9 million. Trust Brokerage was the volume leader with trading in 52.9 million shares, falling Rs0.13 to close at Rs2.46.
