Several parts of Metro Manila experienced heavy rain early Wednesday due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat enhanced by Tropical Storm Maymay. According to a report of Jhomer Apresto on GMA News' Unang Balita, heavy rain poured over parts of Quezon City shortly around 2 a.m., reducing visibility around EDSA Kamuning. The downpour lasted for about 30 minutes and caused gutter-deep flooding along the northbound lane of EDSA Quezon Avenue. Traffic flow along Quezon Avenue remained normal and commuters did not experience difficulty in finding public transportation. Caloocan City also experienced heavy rain accompanied by strong winds shortly after 2 a.m., particularly in the vicinity of 9th Avenue in Grace Park East.
