Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has announced plans to return to the London Stadium in 2027, which would mark his third headline concert at the 80,000-capacity venue. The Afro-fusion artiste teased the event in a cryptic Instagram post on Monday, showcasing a 60-carat natural VVS diamond necklace commemorating his two previous sold-out shows there. He first achieved the milestone in June 2023 during his ‘Love, Damini’ tour and repeated the feat in June 2024 as part of his ‘I Told Them’ tour. A 2027 concert would further extend his record at the venue. The London Stadium has 60,000 seats when operating in football mode and is 80,000 capacity for concerts. The announcement comes on the heels of Burna Boy’s recent appearance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show. The Afro-fusion icon first burst onto the scene with ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album L.I.F.E (2013). Since breaking out with ‘Like to Party’ in 2012, the singer has become one of Africa’s biggest music exports, releasing several acclaimed projects. His albums include ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), ‘On a Spaceship’ (2015), ‘Outside’ (2018), ‘African Giant’ (2019), ‘Twice As Tall‘ (2020), ‘Love, Damini‘ (2022), ‘I Told Them‘ (2023) and ‘No Sign of Weakness’ (2025).
