Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Monday asserted that he will not resign from his post, PTI reported. The comment came after supporters of former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in recent days shouted slogans against Warring during party events. Warring told reporters in Bathinda that if the Congress leadership decides to replace him as the state unit chief, he would continue working to strengthen the party. Meanwhile, Bhupesh Baghel, the Congress leader in charge of Punjab, said that the party leadership was united, the newspaper reported. On July 1, the Congress leadership announced that it was retaining Warring as the party’s Punjab chief and had named Channi as the chairperson of its campaign committee.
