A Delhi University (DU) student, whose ‘Vasteganahuiyan’ video went viral during the Cockroach Janta Party protest, alleged on Monday that Meta had made at least four of her Instagram videos unavailable in India.
In an Instagram video, Sakshi said three videos were restricted citing 'community guidelines', while a post was removed for “adult sexual exploitation and nudity”.
The restricted videos included one in which she imitated a police announcement declaring something illegal, another showing a truck carrying food for police after the July 20 lathi charge, and one featuring members of Students’ Federation of India singing about youth unemployment.
A post containing three photographs showing clothes she alleged were torn by police personnel on July 20 was removed for “adult sexual exploitation”.
On the other hand, when I reported certain posts directed as hate reels at me, no action was taken,” she said.
