One migrant worker was killed and another sustained injuries after suspected militants fired at them in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, ANI quoted the police as saying. Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and began a search operation to track down the assailants, the news agency quoted the police as saying. The worker who was killed hailed from Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said. Following the attack, Sinha spoke to Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and other top security officials. The attack came days after a policeman was killed when militants opened fire on security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on July 22.
