Oisín Mullin has confirmed that a conversation took place between Mayo and his AFL club, Geelong Cats, about getting him home to play a part in Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC final. The former Mayo footballer explained the situation, noting that he did have a chat with the Mayo management, along with head coach Scott about getting home between the Cats' clash with Melbourne on Friday and the now historic Croker decider. "I did have a chat with the coach back home, and obviously Chris here," the 26-year-old said. "In the off-season, Geelong did give me an extended period at home, and I was fortunate that Mayo let me join them to train in the off-season as well, so there was that connection there.
