The car festival of Sundararaja Perumal Temple at Alagarkoil in Madurai district was held on Wednesday as part of the ‘Aadi’ celebrations, which commenced with the hoisting of the holy flag. Thousands of devotees pulled the temple car. Lord Sundararaja Perumal was taken out on a procession. Large LED screens were also installed for the devotees to witness the procession. The ‘Aadi’ festival will conclude with ‘Theerthavari’ ceremony.
