The All India Students’ Association (AISA) on Tuesday alleged that protesters involved in the agitation against the NEET paper leak are facing a police crackdown across the country.
AISA national president Neha, one of the prominent faces during the protest, said during a press conference at the Press Club of India: “We were assured that students protesting peacefully would not face repression.
In addition to arrests made in Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand, AISA said that protesters were sent notices in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar.
AISA Jamia has issued a helpline for legal aid in the matter,” AISA said in a statement.
They also demanded the scrapping of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and repeal of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
