Pakistan, Jordan discuss worsening Gaza situation, diplomatic response

During a telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed intensified air strikes, continued ground operations and escalating settler violence targeting Palestinians, according to the Foreign Office.
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 received a telephone call from Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Jordan Ayman Safadi @AymanHSafadi.
The two foreign ministers also discussed Jordan’s proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to assess the evolving situation and coordinate diplomatic efforts and responses.
Safadi appreciated Pakistan’s role and efforts towards promoting regional peace and stability, expressing hope for positive outcomes from ongoing diplomatic initiatives.
He called for the establishment of an independent, contiguous and viable Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
