The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress,
ADC, Rauf Aregbesola, has described himself as the first governor in Nigeria’s
history to govern a state without owning a house of his own.
Aregbesola, a former ally of President Bola Tinubu,

the first governor in Nigeria to rule a state for eight years without owning a
house of his own.
“I stayed in my friend’s house for eight years as a governor

out and show me the house I own.”
The former Minister of Interior under the administration of
the late former President Muhammadu Buhari served as governor of Osun State
from 2019 to 2018.
As governor, Argebesola outlined his goals for the state
which included to banish poverty, banish hunger, banish unemployment, restore
