Thousands of people have been displaced from low-lying villages in Afzalpur, Jewargi, Chittapur, Kalagi, and Sedam taluks of Kalaburagi district. The Bhima bridge near Jewargi was shut to heavy vehicles on Saturday as the waters reached the danger level.
