Of the total 28,145 candidates who exercised web options for post graduation admissions for 2025-26 in various State universities through Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests, 20,467 candidates (72.71%) were allotted seats in the first phase of the counselling. Among them, a majority of the seats (14,688) were bagged by female candidates versus 5,779 seats by male candidates. A category-wise break-up of the seat allotment showed candidates from Backward Classes secured the lion’s share at 11,121 seats, followed by Scheduled Castes (5,233), Scheduled Tribes (2,794) and Open Category (1,319). CPGET convenor advised candidates to pay the prescribed fee online, submit their original Transfer Certificate and produce all original certificates for verification at the allotted college by October 8.
