Bulgaria’s Ruzhdi claimed his sixth successive world title in the men’s Shot Put F55 with a new world record of 12.94m, one of the four world records set on the day, three of them in the morning session.
Others included Malaysia’s Abdul Latif Romly, completing his hat-trick of long jump T20 world titles with a 7.67m jump and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Ponomarenko who threw the shot put in T12 category to 17.39m.
There were four more championship records set across men and women as the foreign athletes continued to prove their superiority.
Vikas in the long jump T47 was the best Indian on the day, finishing sixth with a 6.96m jump while Ajay Singh finished 10th.
In the men’s javelin throw F57, Parveen Kumar ended in eight position with a best throw of 41.92m while Hem Chandra managed a personal best of 41.17m to finish 10th.
