A total of 43,367 candidates appeared for TNPSC Group II and II A examination held in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari and Tenkasi districts on Sunday. In Tenkasi district, exams were held at 53 centres spread across Tenkasi, Alangulam and Sankarankovil. Tenkasi District Collector A.K. A total of 11,237 candidates appeared for the examination in Thoothukudi recording a 78.55% appearance rate and 21.45% absent rate with 3,068 absentees. In Kanniyakumari district, a total of 9,982 candidates appeared for the examination held at 45 centres across the district.
