The recently launched project of the Idukki district administration, ‘Neril Subcollector’ (Face-to-face with the Subcollector), aimed at making communication with the public faster and more transparent, has met with success. According to officials, within a week, Idukki Subcollector Anoop Garg had completed two online sittings and 13 people had submitted complaints. Officials said the applications mainly pertained to title deeds, land mutation, fair value and job-related issues. The field inspections of fair value applications have been completed within two days. The 10-minute slots, allotted daily (18 slots per week), are available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m..
