Union Minister Pralhad Joshi inaugurated water and adventure sports at Unkal Lake in Hubballi on Sunday. The lake was cleaned, beautified and developed under the Smart Cities project. The Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) has started maintaining it. It has started facilities for motor boating, pandal boating, jet-ski, speed boating, kayaking and others. MLA Mahesh Tenginkai said that efforts are being made to develop Hubballi as a hub of tourism.
