Rehabilitating the poor living in vulnerable Musi catchment areas would be the government’s top priority in Amberpet, said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday, adding that plans for the river’s revival are under way. Speaking at the inauguration of the renovated Bathukamma Kunta in Amberpet, he directed Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to conduct a field visit and prepare proposals for families affected by recurrent flooding. The Chief Minister underlined that Musi, once the lifeline of Hyderabad, had now turned into a cesspool.
