ISA Act will revolutionise Nigeria’s capital market, says EzugborThe Nigeria capital market is set for a significant boost under the newly signed regulations covered by the Investment and Securities Act (ISA) 2024, Anthony Ezugbor, Head, Application Development and Support at the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), has said. The new law repealed the Investment and Securities Act (ISA) 2007. The Investment and Securities Act is the principal law in Nigeria regulating investments and the capital market. Principally, it sets out the rules for public offers of securities, mutual funds, mergers and acquisitions of public companies, and other parts of the capital market. Speaking at ASHON’s event, Ezugbor, who spoke on “The ISA 2024 and Digital Innovation,” said the new act is poised to redefine Nigeria’s capital market and drive technological transformation across the financial ecosystem.
