In a post on Truth Social on Thursday, 29th January, Trump announced plans to impose a 50 per cent tariff on all aircraft sold to America by its northern neighbour, claiming Canada has refused to certify several Gulfstream jets, The Mirror reports. In Thursday's Truth Social message, Trump stated that "Canada has wrongfully, illegally, and steadfastly refused to certify the Gulfstream 500, 600, 700, and 800 Jets".
