The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) booked a home guard for allegedly leaking information on the movements of ACB teams and searches to corrupt officers.
The accused, identified as Netti Srinivasa Rao, reportedly leaked information on the surprise searches conducted by the ACB on sub-registrar offices in November last year, according to the ACB.
Srinivasa Rao joined police in Vizianagaram district as a home guard in 2010 and was later deputed to the ACB.
Subsequently, the ACB searched the properties of Srinivasa Rao in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts.
The accused would be produced before the ACB Special Court in Nellore, the ACB officials said in a release on Thursday.
