Projects worth ₹728 crore were approved for trans Yamuna region in the first meeting of the reconstituted Trans Yamuna Area Development Board (TYADB), which was attended by the Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, on Thursday (January 29, 2026). “Currently, the condition of roads in trans Yamuna region is very bad, and in the first meeting, the Board approved road construction works in 16 Assembly Constituencies. Once the basic issues are sorted, the Board plans to do other developmental works in the region, he added. The Board approves and recommends various infrastructure development works through various agencies such as the Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Public Works Department etc. The CM said that development of the trans Yamuna region is among the Delhi government’s highest priorities, and the objective is to develop the region to such an extent that people choose to come and live here by choice.
