With an aim to encourage women-led industrial entrepreneurship, the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday (January 29) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FICCI Ladies Organisation (FICCI-FLO) to develop an exclusive industrial park for women entrepreneurs in the State. Bharath on behalf of the State government and FICCI-FLO representatives, including national president Poonam Sharma, past national president Ujjwala Singhania and National Governing Body member Mourya Boda. The agreement provides for the establishment of a 30-acre Women Entrepreneurs’ Industrial Park under the Andhra Pradesh Policy for Establishment of Private Industrial Parks with Plug-and-Play Infrastructure (2024–29). The park will cater exclusively to women entrepreneurs who are members of FICCI-FLO, focusing on enterprise creation, employment generation and economic independence. While FICCI-FLO will mobilise and mentor women entrepreneurs, APIIC will facilitate infrastructure, approvals and statutory support, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to inclusive industrial growth.
