The Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala will remain closed for more than 10 hours on March 3, due to the lunar eclipse. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials said the temple would be reopened at 7.30 p.m., following ‘suddhi’ and ‘punyavachanam’ rituals. In view of the lunar eclipse, all Arjitha Sevas and VIP break darshans will remain cancelled for the day. The cancelled rituals include Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva. The TTD has appealed to the devotees to take note of the closure timings while planning their visit to Tirumala.
