Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was accorded full state honours at his residence in Katewadi on Thursday (January 29, 2026).
His last rites will be held at Vidya Prathisthan ground in Baramati at 11 a.m.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the State cabinet will be present at the funeral.
Ajit Pawar and four others were killed on Wednesday (January 28) after an aircraft -- a Bombardier Learjet 45 -- carrying them crashed in Pune district.
He was travelling to Baramati from Mumbai to address public meetings as part of the campaign for the February 5 zilla parishad elections in the State.
