In a decision that will accelerate the pace of industrial expansion, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has allotted 12.5 acres of plots to 25 industrial units in the state. The move will give a significant boost to industrial activity, job creation and economic growth in the state. These approved proposals are poised to attract a cumulative investment of ₹168.52 crore and expected to generate 1194 direct employment opportunities apart from indirect employment opportunities in the state. These sectors are expected to significantly strengthen Bihar’s industrial ecosystem by attracting new investments, promoting sectoral growth, and creating employment opportunities across the State. Ashok Paper Mill at Rameshwar Nagar is spread over 400 acres of land and was established in 1958 but remained closed since November, 2003.
