A soldier was killed while another was injured in a gun battle with alleged local terrorists in Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao del Sur. The 6th Infantry Division (6ID) identified the fatality as Corporal Ryan Jun Bagual, a member of the 90th Infantry Battalion and a resident of President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat. 6ID said the troops were in an operation after receiving reports about the alleged terrorists planning to sow terror in Sitio Bagurot, Barangay Tuayan Mother. 6ID commander, Major General Jose Vladimir Cagara, lauded the fallen soldier for his bravery.
