In the top of the seventh inning at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner took himself out of the game with an injury. The Phillies quickly confirmed via Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer that Turner exited the contest with a right hamstring strain. Turner, who has rarely missed a start this season, had a rest day during Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins. This news will undoubtedly strike fear in the hearts of Phillies fans because during the 2024 season Turner missed roughly six weeks due to a left hamstring strain. Pair that with his near historic offensive performance this season and Phillies fans have been debating whether he’s a better Golden Glove contender, MVP candidate, or both.
