World Heritage site managers call for inclusive and effective Reactive Monitoring process. 18 site managers from across the globe met at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, to participate in the 7th edition of the World Heritage Site Managers’ Forum. Organized in conjunction with the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee, this edition of the Forum was dedicated to the theme “Enhancing engagement in the World Heritage Reactive Monitoring process”. The Forum also provided a valuable opportunity for the World Heritage Committee and Observer States Parties to hear site managers’ voices. Site managers are the ones on the ground, often in challenging conditions and putting their lives at risk, who possess firsthand knowledge of site management realities.
