Families in the Parry Sound area in need of help this Thanksgiving are in luck. Turkeys for Tummies, an initiative organized through Care Coalition Parry Sound, will be providing Thanksgiving dinners to those in need. Organizer Shepherd Winfield says the initiative was launched in 2015, and provided meals to a handful of local families. Every year since, it has grown, and now they provide meals to between 100 and 125 families every Thanksgiving. Winfield says the number of meals provided is dependent on funds raised throughout the year and volunteer support on delivery day.
