Enbridge and the Parry Sound Fire Department are on scene at a gas main break near Parry Sound Road. Officials say as of 3:30 p.m. (Sept. 22) the leak was contained and repairs were underway. The incident has the potential to impact gas services to a large portion of the Town until repairs are completed. The affected area may include portions of:Parry Sound RoadMelissa StreetRailway AvenueMacFarlane StreetEmily StreetKate StreetOlive StreetAccording to Fire Chief Dave Thompson much of the Harbour area may experience reduced natural gas pressure. He said Enbridge officials may be visiting homes in the affected area to safely restore gas services once repairs are complete.
