Just a couple of months after restarting production of its Grenadier following the insolvency of a key supplier, the U.K.'s Ineos has now been forced to recall the rugged SUVs because the doors might fly open. The recall affects specific 2024 Grenadiers, with 7,022 examples impacted in the U.S. This could lead to a door button remaining depressed, which would result in the door not fully latching, thus increasing the risk that the door could open while the vehicle is in motion. The remedy requires Ineos to replace the door button assemblies, a service that will be performed free of charge. The company said owners can still drive their vehicles, provided they ensure the doors are correctly latched.
