[Image: Flickr]A married doctor ditched his patient mid-op for a quick romp with a nurse in another theatre, a medical tribunal has heard. Andrew Molloy, for the General Medical Council (GMC), told the tribunal that Dr Anjum had been in charge of five cases in theatre 5 that day. The rendezvous lasted about eight minutes before Dr Anjum returned to his patient. Dr Anjum didn’t bother denying it. He admitted to having sex with Nurse C, admitted his actions risked patient safety, and admitted he knew she was “likely to be nearby” when he vanished.
