[Image: Wikimedia Commons]The body of a 29-year-old man washed up at Sunset Beach in Sea Point yesterday morning, which is another grim addition to the recent spate of deaths along Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard. Sea Point SAPS got the call, and when officers and Law Enforcement arrived, they found the body. At this point, it is believed that he most likely drowned, but that would still need to be confirmed. My condolences to his family and friends in their time of need.”This grim discovery follows another Sea Point death earlier this month, when police suspected a man had taken his own life on the promenade. It also comes on the back of a suspected drowning (although there was also talk of a shooting) on 31 August, when the body of an unidentified man was found near the tidal pool at Sea Point Pavilion.
