From unexpected natural disasters to unnatural but expected disasters right out of a 60s spy novel, it’s enough to make anyone hide under a lead blankie. It’s more important than ever to keep a sense of humour though, and search for those moments worth smiling about, the small victories hidden between the chaotic headlines. Life is still good, and as messy as the world might seem, it can’t be bad news all the time. That said, here’s your weekly Top of the Slop, an unintentionally accurate roundup of a week that is now thankfully over, and a reminder that switching off your devices over the weekend is a good idea.
