Little did anyone know that his “hobby” was cocaine smuggling on a grand scale. This week, Clark (46) undertook the last of his many drug flights before crashing in a Brazilian sugar cane field with 200kg of cocaine on board. The street value of this cargo was a staggering R920 million, basically R1 billion. According to aviation sources, Clark had crossed the Atlantic with this very aircraft countless times, offloading cargo in Namibia and South Africa before topping up in Brazil for another run.
