“Here Comes the Motherfucking Bride” is the tagline from this first teaser trailer for Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride!, which stars Jessie Buckley as the titular (yet nameless) undead creation brought to life as an eternal companion for Frankenstein’s monster (Christian Bale). is Gyllenhaal’s second film as writer and director, following her acclaimed debut with 2021’s Oscar-nominated The Lost Daughter (which also starred Buckley). That Frankenstein, though, isn’t rumored to be a musical, with del Toro appearing to go for a more straightforward approach than Gyllenhaal’s. was originally set to be released this fall, before being moved by Warner Bros. to March 6th, 2026.
