Globally, 70% of the Forbes Global 2000 list is covered by listed companies’ net-zero targets. Net Zero Tracker lead John Lang said: “Talk of a ‘net zero recession’ is overblown. The Tracker has recorded only “modest progress” in the quality of companies’ targets and said most need to improve to align with best-practice standards. Additionally, many companies have quietly abandoned interim goals supporting long-term net-zero targets – most commonly, those with a 2025 deadline.
