ALTOONA, Kan. (KSNW) — The remains of a Kansas airman killed during the Vietnam War are returning home more than five decades after he was declared missing in action. Technical Sergeant Willis “Jim” Rozelle Hall, born in Rose, Kansas, was one of 11 U.S. Air Force personnel killed on March 11, 1968, when North Vietnamese soldiers attacked a U.S. navigation site in Laos. His remains were not recovered at the time, but the military has since accounted for him. Hall will be brought back to Kansas on Thursday, Sept. 11. A visitation is planned for Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship Church in Altoona, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
