PRESCOTT – A fireworks show is being scheduled for July 4 in Prescott. Jerry Hightower, a member of the Prescott City Council, said a fireworks show was held last year and sponsored by First Baptist Church. He checked to see if the church would be doing it again this year as he wanted the city to sponsor it. According to Hightower, funds were put in the budget for the event, which will be held as a grand opening of the splash pad. He said he knows where fireworks can be purchased cheaper and people who can put on a 15-20 minute show.
