The Make Your Move campaign is being promoted by Essex County Council’s sustainable transport team and highlights the benefits of walking, cycling and using public transport instead of driving. The survey found convenience, speed and cost were the main factors influencing young people's travel choices. Tom Cunningham, councillor responsible for highways, infrastructure and sustainable transport, said: "It can be easy to automatically reach for the car keys when meeting up with friends, going to lectures or heading to the gym. "This is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to offering greater choices in travel while protecting the environment." The six-week campaign runs until mid-October and will be promoted on Instagram, Spotify and buses across Colchester and Chelmsford.
