Using data from the CDC, 24/7 Wall St. identified the states where Alzheimer’s deaths are surging. In many states on this list, the increase in Alzheimer’s deaths may be linked to aging populations. Hawaii, for example, reported a 68% increase in Alzheimer’s deaths in the last 10 years — but with 21.7 deaths for every 100,000 people, the state still has the eighth lowest Alzheimer’s mortality rate in the country.
