In many states on this list, the increase in Alzheimer’s deaths may be linked to aging populations.
Hawaii, for example, reported a 68% increase in Alzheimer’s deaths in the last 10 years — but with 21.7 deaths for every 100,000 people, the state still has the eighth lowest Alzheimer’s mortality rate in the country.
